Could you have ever imagined that a day would come when a girl who can neither hear nor speak will be a heroine in Tamil Industry? At a time when a Perfect 10 is sought for heroines, here’s one who has proven that all it takes is some ambition and a lot of willpower to make it big.

The girl is Abinaya, who played one of the heroines in director Samuthirakani’s ‘Naadodigal’. Being both speech and hearing impaired from birth, this lass had vowed that she would make it big as a model, her area of interest from a very young age. It was later that she got an operation done for hearing after which she began seriously scouting for offers.

But the surprise of the package was when ‘Samuthirakani’, who saw her profile, said he had no problems casting her despite her supposed ‘disability’.
